Dr. Taylor Scheurer, O.D.
Dr. Taylor Scheurer, O.D. is a dedicated optometrist with a passion for providing compassionate and patient-centered eyecare. She earned her Bachelor’s of Science in Biology from Ferris State University graduating summa cum laude in 2019. She then graduated with high distinction from the Michigan College of Optometry in 2023 with her Doctor of Optometry.
As a student, she volunteered with organizations to help run an eyecare mission trip to Ukraine where the team served over 1,000 individuals with both glasses and cataract surgery. She also has performed research on contrast sensitivity and its relation to the visual system during her schooling.
She completed externships in primary eyecare at Riemer Eye Center in Cadillac, MI, Special Needs Vision Clinic in Saginaw, MI, and the Aleda Lutz VA Medical Center. Upon graduating, she worked for 3 months at the Eye Care Specialists of Michigan working closely with a glaucoma specialist before moving to Georgia. She most recently was an optometrist at Americas Best for 2 years before joining us at Schulze Eye and Surgery Center.
Dr. Scheurer grew up near the Great Lakes in Cadillac, Michigan. She enjoys traveling, hiking, running, spending time at the beach, playing volleyball, and pickleball. She also loves spending time with her family, friends, loved ones, and her labrador retriever, Daisy.
